RAMR confirms sale of new cars for 9 months of 2019 fell 2.3% to 1.12 million

According RAMR for the first nine months of 2019 in the Russian market it was sold 1 million 124,9 thousand new cars, which is 2.3% less than in the same period of 2018.
Traditionally, leadership in the market in terms of sales belongs to the LADA brand, which in the period under review implemented 247,2 thousand cars (+3.6 percent). Sales of new passenger cars Korean brands KIA and Hyundai, which are also included in the Top 3 has declined by 4.1% and 1.9%, respectively.
A regional leader in the market of new passenger cars is Moscow, the share of which amounted to 16.6%. The growth of sales of new passenger cars was observed only in 3 regions from the Top-20 in Kemerovo (+8,1%), Volgograd (+5.8%) and Moscow (+0.3 percent) regions.
Outsiders among the regions were, respectively, Stavropol Krai (-8,3%), Samara (-7,6%) and Rostov regions (-7,5%).
