Tires in Russia are growing for the second consecutive year

The market of automobile tires grew in 2018 by 12%

According to Russian Automotive Market Research (RAMR), the Russian market of tyres for the second year in a row shows significant growth. So, in 2017, sales of tires increased by 20.4% and in 2018 – by 12.1%, which was quantitatively 57.5 million pieces.

More than half completed in 2018, automobile tires were produced directly in Russia – 55,8%. The share of imported tyres have increased by 2.1% to 44.2%. In quantitative terms, the import of tires in 2018 reached 25.4 million units (+17,6%).
  
By the way, the export of tires from Russia also increased (+3.6 percent), amounting to 23.2 million PCs.
