According RAMR in January-February 2019 the market for new light commercial vehicles (LCV) and "primacoustic to them" pickups declined only 1.5% to January-February of 2018, reaching 16,05 thousand this was mainly due to the drawdown in January (affected by the VAT rise), but February last year same month sales weren't too far behind.
Domestic brands LCVs felt in February, noticeably more confident than foreign cars due to the significant price escalation in new (20%) VAT, while domestic manufacturers in the beginning of the year we could rely on the state program of preferential lending and leasing, as well as the payment of the recycling fee.
For the first two months of this year, the position of the market leader – AL GAS will not be shaken – the volume of realization of light commercial vehicles made up 6.66 million (+0.2 percent). The brand's share on the market (in the segment of pickups he was not present) rose to 41.5%. The leader of sales remained "GAZelle NEXT" with a 3.4 million (+1,8%), it again tightened the old series "GAZelle BUSINESS" with 2.3 million (+12%), that just speaks of the importance of state support programmes and closed listing sales Gas series "Sobol BUSINESS" with 0.8 million (-7,6%).
Next is the Russian brand UAZ, whose sales in January-February increased by 1.2% and amounted to 3.36 million, and growth mainly came from the mass of Ulyanovsk "loaves" and "tadpoles" utility model "Farmer" (UAZ-3909) with more than 2-fold increase (to 1.1 million) on the background of a much more sluggish demand for other products commercial series.
