According RAMR June 2019 the implementation of new passenger cars reached 128,81 thousand, which is 1.5% less than in June 2018.

The first half of 2019 in the Russian market of new cars is also not without reduction of 3.5% over the same period last year, amounting to 720,13 thousand cars.

This reduction of domestic passenger car market was more noticeable in comparison with cars.

Irremovable market leader – the brand LADA in January-June 2019 implemented 162,3 thousand cars, which is 3.9% higher than the result for the same period last year. Sales of new passenger cars of brands KIA and Hyundai, which are also firmly part of the Top 3 market leaders, declined by 7.5% (to 95.2 thousand) and 4.3% (up to 78,4 thousand), respectively.

Overall, the Top 15 total all 5 brands went into a plus: besides LADA Volkswagen (+0.2% to 45.9 thousand – 5-e a place in the market), Skoda (+14.6% to 36.2 thousand – 7-e a place), Mitsubishi (+10.5% to 18.2 thousand – 9-e a place) and BMW (+16.7% to 18 million) that made him a leader in sales growth.

The greatest fall in sales in the period under review recorded the brand Ford – 28.9% to 13.7 thousand, but in fact, what to expect from the brand, leaving the market, and even after an impressive promotion this spring. Characterized by the fact that brands outside the Top 15 is possible to tell fell by 17.8% to 60,73 million, which reduced its market share from 9.9% to 8.4%, respectively, further strengthening the position of the Top 15 brands.

The market for new cars also declined in the stronger 15 largest regions, which traditionally accounts for the bulk of sales.
So for the first half of 2019 sales of the Top 15 regions, which accounted for 64.3% of the market decreased by 4.35%.
While sales in the regions, where demand for new cars traditionally are not as high dropped by 1.94%.
Characteristically, the only region in the black was the Moscow region with an increase of only 1% to 56.5 thousand the Biggest drop in Top-15 regions turned out to be at the Nizhny Novgorod region, due to the crisis situation a major producer of Gas due to anti-Russian sanctions (the workers even arranged for 1 may protest at the U.S. Embassy, of course, completely legal – ed.).
