The Russian market of new electric vehicles is growing rapidly, but from scratch

In September 2019, the sales of electric vehicles in Russia grew 3.4 times, says OOO "AUTOSTAT info"

According to the "AUTOSTAT" info in September 2019 in the Russian market was implemented 17 new electric vehicles against the 5 units over the same period last year, while sales leaders are the premium crossover Jaguar I-Pace (9 units) and a compact hatchback Nissan LEAF (3 units, +50%), as well as two of the midsize sedan premium Model 3 and Model X crossover (previous year 3 units). In addition, among the five sold Tesla was one of the premium sedan Model S.

In January-September Russian market it was sold new passenger electric cars: Nissan LEAF (50 units, a 3.1-fold increase), Jaguar I-Pace (103 units last year sales not yet exist); the Tesla Model 3 (6 units, sales have not been), Model X (2 units, -33,3%) and  Model S (1 unit, sales were not). Total: 200 units to 55 units, i.e. growth was 4.6 times.

In Moscow and Moscow oblast left 5 units. I-Pace units 3 Tesla (one copy each) and 2 units of Nissan LEAF in total (10 units) in 3.3 times more than in the same period last year. For 9 months here it was sold 42 units. I-Pace, 32 units. LEAF (growth 16 times), 21 units of Model X (-12.5 percent), 9 units of Model S (+80%) and 4 units of Model 3, i.e. a total of 108 units against 31 units a year earlier, or 3.5 times more.  

PS According to the portal "AUTOSTAT" quantitative growth of new electric cars in September and in 9 months was even higher, 23 units and 261 units, respectively. Absolute growth has been low, only 2.9 and 2.8 times, respectively. It is also noted that the sales trend of electric vehicles in the Russian market became positive since April.
A large part of the electric vehicles sold in Moscow (6 units), the Moscow region and Primorsky Krai (3 units), and in 11 Russian regions out of one of the electric car.

P. P. S. by the Way, parallel secondary market of electric vehicles during the first 9 months of this year (according to "AUTOSTAT info") collapsed primarily because of falling resale (actually black import from Japan – ed.) Nissan LEAF with up to 1280 227 units or minus of 82.3%, and Tesla (from 37 to 26 units or minus 29.7 per cent). However, the resale of minietek Mitsubishi i-MiEV increased by 11.8% to 38 units, and domestic LADA ELLADA – 6 times to 18 units. Thus, in addition to the growth of the Russian market of electric vehicles face a "whitewash".
