The Russian car market in August 2019 good measure did not keep

Sales of cars and LCV in August decreased on 1,3%

In August according to the automobile manufacturers Committee of the AEB, the sales of new passenger and light commercial (LCV) cars in Russia decreased by 1843 ed. or to 1.3 p. p. against the same month in 2018 year, amounting to 145 545 units.

Chairman of the AEB automobile manufacturers Committee Joerg Schreiber says the results of the last summer months: "In August, there have been significant changes in the situation in the market, as sales remained below the good level achieved a year earlier."

In January-August sales of new cars declined considerably higher at 2,3 p. p. (-25 798 units) to 1 114 263 units.

The leader among brands in August acts of domestic LADA, returned to growth thanks to the resumption of funding of government programs concessional lending, which amounted to +5% (30 012 units), and for 8 months it was 3% (233 684 units). On second place is KIA, though with -2% (18 531 units) and, respectively, with 0% (148 947 units) with the beginning of the year. On 3rd place zero rates Hyundai (14 062 units) and (115 937 units). The highest growth in the Top 10 for the beginning of the year showed the BMW C 17% growth, respectively, 3 525 units and 26 690 units.

The worst result in the Top 10 August  and start the year is still in Nissan -16% (5938 units) and -18% (41 257 units), respectively. At this Group's share of AVTOVAZ-Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi the market grew in August to 37,2% (54 178 units) against 35.9 percent a year earlier, or to 1.2 percentage points

Among the models bestseller Aug and for 8 months start of the year remains a series of restyled LADA Granta with 11 132 units (+59,5%) and 85 766 units (+42.4 per cent), respectively. Second place in both rankings are also remains LADA Vesta with 9329 units (+9.6 per cent) and 74 050 units (+10.3 per cent). Rounded out the Top-3 in the beginning of the year – KIA Rio with 6989 units (-10,5%) and a 61 591 units (-8,3%).

Preliminary forecasts for the Russian car market by 2019 has already been adjusted in the worse the objective reasons is not do not see no dimensions.
