Sales of electric cars in Russia have jumped by 23 %

While in some developed countries, electric cars are slowly but surely gaining popularity in Russia they practically are not on sale. However, the analytical Agency "AUTOSTAT" hastened to cheer supporters of environmentally friendly transport optimistic statistics: in the first quarter of 2018 in Russia, sales of electric cars grew by 23 %.

In fact, the increase of almost a quarter would be a great indicator for US and for any of the countries of Western Europe. However, even considering the positive dynamics of sales of electric cars in Russia remain single. In the first quarter of 2018 in our country it was purchased only 16 such machines. That's three electric car more than in the same period of 2017. Three of these vehicles and 23 %.

Bestseller (if that term can ever be applied in these conditions) of the segment is the Nissan Leaf. It saw more than half of sales to eight machines. All the rest of the sold electric cars are registered for Tesla brand name: five Model X crossover and two sedans Model S.

Often buy electric vehicles, residents of the capital and suburbs: they accounted for seven cars. Three more left in Primorye. One model went to Krasnodar Krai, Yakutia, Novosibirsk, Kemerovo, Tyumen and Pskov regions.

It is noteworthy that approximately the same pace, the market for electric cars grew and in 2017: while sales of electric vehicles increased by 28 %, to 95 pieces.
