According to Russian Automotive Market Research (RAMR) for 01.01.2019 Park of passenger cars in Russia has 45.1 million

The average in Russia on 1000 inhabitants 303 a passenger car. In 43 regions of the Russian Federation the index of "motorization" was above the national average. The leader of this indicator is the Primorsky Krai (467 vehicles per 1000 inhabitants). Followed by Kamchatka Krai, Moscow and Kaluga region, and also Republic of Karelia, where the figure exceeds 365 units.

The least motorized region of the country – the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug (91 vehicles per 1,000 inhabitants). Also to the regions with the smallest number of passenger cars per 1000 inhabitants include the Republic of Chechnya, Ingushetia, Dagestan and Tyva.
