In February 2019 global sales of Volkswagen Commercial vehicles (VW NFZ) amounted to 35.5 thousand cars (growth of 12.2%). 23,8 thousand of them have been implemented in Western Europe (14.5%), and more than a third of them (9.7 thousand) was handed over to customers in the domestic market of Germany.
For the first two months of this year, VW NFZ handed over to customers worldwide 75 thousand cars. It is 8.9 thousand more than in the same period last year (the growth amounted to 13.4%).
In Western Europe, sales reached the highest, rising by 19.8% to 50.6 thousand Substantial growth in sales in Western Europe due mainly to the growth in five major markets:
• Germany – 19.7 million vehicles (growth by 26.6%).
• UK – 4,7 thousand cars (growth by 5.3%).
• Spain – 3,1 thousand cars (an increase of 66.8%).
• France – 2.6 million vehicles (growth by 6.2%).
• Italy – 2.0 thousand cars (growth by 8.1%).
In the market of Eastern Europe in January-February, were transferred to clients 7.7 thousand cars. Sales in this region jumped by 38.8%, which was a significant contribution to the overall growth in sales of the brand.
In the markets of North and South America VW NFZ, on the contrary, have contracted. So, in Mexico (apply to North America market) and the markets of South America was completed in just 7.7 thousand cars, which is 1.2 thousand less than in the same period last year, a decrease of 13.6%.
Meanwhile, the sales in Africa in January-February almost doubled compared to the previous year and amounted to 4.1 thousand cars (growth by 46.4%).
Sales in the Asia-Pacific region fell by 10.9% to 3.0 thousand. The middle East is also not pleased, so in the Turkish market actually collapsed sales fell by almost twice, and decreased to 1.8 thousand vehicles (down by 43.4%).
Delivery brand under model series in January-February was: Transporter – 27,8 thousand (an increase of 37.9 per cent); Caddy – 25 thousand (a drop of 5.4%); Amarok – 12.2 thousand (decrease by 4.4%); Crafter – 10 thousand (an increase by 46.9%).
