Crossovers and SUVs in the Russian market continue to push cars

Compact crossovers to expand its segment faster than any SUV

According to Russian Automotive Market Research (RAMR), the Russian market of passenger cars the most popular car budget B-class. Thus, in January-March 2019 were sold 125,7 thousand (39%) and used 406,2 thousand (35.9 percent) of this segment.
In terms of sales in the secondary market followed by classes C and D, the shares of which, respectively, was 18.8% and 10.6%. Among the new passenger cars data classes are not as popular so their share of 7.0% and 5.9%, respectively.
The most impressive growth in the market of new passenger cars showed crossovers and SUVs segment Compact SUV with a share of 29.2%. However, their share in the market of cars with mileage is only 10.5%. Also the excess of market of new cars over used is observed in the segment of mid-size (Mid-size SUV) and Mini-SUV, but in a full-sized segment Full-size SUV, the new model is not in the lead before second-hand as their "Golden age" in the Russian market left behind (great Americans we are no longer taking).
