Experts predict a rapid increase in prices for new cars

Prices heavily jump in January 2019

Expensive or not expensive, that is the question. Although in the past four years, this question in regard to new cars in Russia is not valid: prices are rising with surprising regularity. However, all this can be flowers on the background of berries that appear at the beginning of 2019, experts predict a sharp jump in prices.

As savil automotive expert Igor Morzharetto in the air NSN, the reason for the rapid price rise is the increase in VAT from 18% to 20% from 1 January 2019. There also will be new taxes. Mr. Morzharetto did not elaborate on what new taxes are meant. There may be due to the plans of the government to increase the environmental fee, which in the future will raise the price of aluminum and steel.

Meanwhile, Russian market still continues to grow. By the end of October has kept the fourth place in Europe by sales, behind Germany, France and the UK. Also in the top five include Italy.

At the same time, experts believe that continued growth is connected with effect of low base (sales fell dramatically in 2015) and the expected price growth: buyers want to buy a new car before the next jump.
