These results were commented by the Deputy General Director of "ASM-holding" Alexander Kovrigin (photo on screen): "bestsellers on the market of passenger cars in January 2019 steel models produced by foreign companies in Russia. Basically, this machine cost less than ₽1 million I Think that this trend is formed under conditions of low purchasing power of the population, will continue in the following months 2019. In contrast to the data provided by the automobile manufacturers Committee of the AEB, which show the market growth of 0.6%, according to the registration, in January of this year, sales of passenger cars decreased by 2.4% in comparison with January of 2018. I believe that the decline in passenger car sales will continue in February 2019".
He said: "the sales Volume by market new light commercial vehicles in the first month of 2019 has decreased slightly, only by 0.4%. Sales of pickups in the same period rose 3.4%. And this is due primarily to the fact that small businesses in Russia is practically not growing".
More positively he said going on the truck market: "the Market of trucks in January of 2019 showed an increase of 5.5% compared to January 2018, and at the end of the year is expected to increase by 2.9%".
However, concerns while encouraging bus market: "the decline in the bus market (-25,6%) is associated with a high jump in sales at the end of 2018. Overall, the growth of bus sales in 2019 is expected at 2.8% while maintaining the volume of public procurement and other decisions of the government to support manufacturers."
