During the directorship of Mr. Sumida representation of Suzuki in 2015-2018 he had to deal with the consequences of the crisis, negatively affected the financial performance as the automotive market in General and specifically the company Suzuki. In the global market by the end of 2017, despite the fact that the Suzuki Group is actually single-brand manufacturer (Indian brand Maruti does not count, even in the local market are actually duplicated the main brand Suzuki) was shown to improve business performance in connection with the sales growth in India, Japan, Europe, and Asia. 

Mr. Yuta Takahashi said specifically that the parent company Suzuki Motors intends "to securely rely on three pillars", i.e. three of the export market in Japan, Asia (India and China) and Europe, what the European market will be enhanced.

Thus, in accordance with the medium-term (5-year) strategy for "Suzuki Next 100", it is planned to increase sales in Europe to 300,000 vehicles by 2020, and worldwide, to 3.4 million (+18%). 

In addition, Suzuki will give the market 20 new models by 2020, will focus on the development of new engines, focuses on the clients (creation of unique quality products, exceeding customer's expectations), technology, efficiency and management. It is planned to unite the whole group into a single global team SUZUKI.

Russian customers look forward to the emergence of a new generation of mini SUV Suzuki Jimny 

The company provides for the expansion of such programs as Suzuki Finance, Suzuki Trade-in, Suzuki Insurance, roadside assistance Suzuki Assistanse and will focus on a special version of the previously presented models. It is also planned to strengthen the direction to increase customer loyalty, including the residual value of the car and reducing the cost of ownership (SuzukiDrive+).

In 2018 in the Russian market will be presented new generation of the SUV Jimny, and also deals with the question to market for a new SUV Grand Vitara and car models Swift and Baleno.
