The crisis in the market of independent filling stations continues to grow
the Current fuel crisis may reshape the market of the gas station. The head of the analytical centre of Independent fuel Union Grigory Bazhenov said that at current prices the independent networks operate at a loss that sooner or later will lead to their closure.
On data Bazhenov, independent stations, required margin per litre of not less than three roubles. However, under the current conditions, these gas stations have become hostages of the situation. On the one hand, they are unable to influence wholesale purchase price. On the other, now they are not subject to retail price: it was recorded after signing the agreement between the government and oil producers.
the very same final cost of the fuel plays a significant role: independent gas stations can sell gasoline to 30 cents per liter, if only in this sum were included at least three rubles of margins. Only in this case, such networks can cover operating costs and to invest in development.
the head of the analytical centre of Independent fuel Union gave the following data: given the current freezing of prices and the set value indicative cash-and-carry, the average gross margin up to 31 March 2019 will be 1.7 rubles per liter. When the daily implementation of 10 thousand liters minimum operating costs of the refills are about 3 rubles per liter. It turns out that on every sold liter refueling losing an average of 1.3 ruble.
the opinion was expressed by the head of "Rosneft" Igor Sechin. He said that independent gas stations is to increase the amount of additional services. Despite the fact that Sechin is far from the problems of independent networks and is located on the other side of the fence, in his words there is a grain of truth. In Europe refuelling do not earn on fuel: up to 100% of the profits generated through the sale of related products and services. In Russia, even the market leaders, this share does not exceed 50 %.
Another thing is that to blindly compare the Russian market with the European one too. At least due to the huge difference in purchasing power of the Russian motorists will buy different goods at the gas station much less frequently than their European counterparts. And in the current economic environment is unlikely to reverse this factor.
