Periodically in European and American press raised the issue of "desligada" (diesel scandal underestimate the actual emissions of the Volkswagen AG). For example, about a month ago there was information about experiments on monkeys. All the hype could not affect the sales of diesel cars in Europe in 2017, they decreased by 8 %, and in December they fell by 20 %. Constantly appear the rumors about the prohibition of vehicles running on diesel, at the legislative level.

Now the Federal administrative court of Germany in Leipzig confirmed the ban on the operation of diesel cars, which can install the municipalities. It is noteworthy that the plaintiffs in this case were the land of North Rhine-Westphalia and Baden-württemberg, who were dissatisfied with the decision of the lower courts previously authorized to introduce such limitations in Dusseldorf and Stuttgart.

Before the Administrative courts of düsseldorf and Stuttgart, have allowed the local authorities to limit the operation of diesel machines if required to reduce the concentration of NO2 in air of these cities to the statutory norms. According to the documents, the average value must not exceed 40 µg/m3, thus also specifies the average hourly maximums 200 µg/m3.

Is now in Dusseldorf and Stuttgart will not be able to drive diesel cars? In fact, so far only approved the possibility of introduction of restrictions, so further development depends on local legislation. They say that to ban in the city check-diesel vehicles with environmental class Euro 6, below. It is noteworthy that in respect of the petrol cars we are talking about models that do not fit only in Euro 3. Most likely, the restrictions will be introduced gradually, so soon into disgrace can get the vehicle to "heavy fuel" that meets the requirements of Euro 4 and Euro 5 machines will be affected in 2019.

While the restrictions will not be commercial vehicles, so trucks, buses and taxis will be able to travel in Germany without obstacles.
