WCA jury recognized the winner of the prestigious World Car of the Year Person of the late President of the concern FCA

More than 80 members of the jury of the World Car Awards (WCA) from 24 countries by secret ballot was recognized as a winner of the prestigious World Car of the nomination Person of the Year titanium the automotive industry is an Italo – canadian Sergio Marchionne, tragically passed away in July 2018. The award was presented today at the Geneva motor show.
At the time of death Mr. Marchionne was President of the Italian-American concern FCA, Chairman of CNH Industria and Chairman of the Board and CEO of the legendary manufacturer of road sports cars – the Ferrari and the indispensable participant of the championship "Formula 1" and other competition – teams of Scuderia Ferrari.
This morning the newly appointed President and CEO of FCA Mike Manley on the concern's stand at the Geneva motor show got the award of World Car Person of the Year for his former boss. He said on this occasion: "I am honored to receive this recognition from the jury World Car Awards, he was posthumously awarded Sergio Marchionne. He was not one of those who was distinguished by the pomp and vanity, preferring instead dedicated work for the company, which he headed for 14 years, and trained a whole management team to promote their heritage. I gratefully accept this award in honor of his memory."
