Cognitive Technologies is testing its system not only in Russia

The development of autopilots is not only in the US, Europe, Japan and South Korea, but also in Russia. The company Cognitive Technologies has repeatedly presented his work at the international level, and now boasted new achievement: the prototypes running and intelligent control Cognitive Pilot in the total amount crossed more than one million kilometres.

In an interview to "RIA Novosti", the representatives of Cognitive Technologies, said that in some modes, the new system may have industrial accuracy to identify objects in its path, processing up to 100% of the obstacles. At the same time, developers still have to do a lot of work.

According to the head of Department of development of unmanned vehicle Cognitive Technologies Yury Minkin, the current moment over half of the tests are in the Autonomous control mode. In 2017 the test vehicles in an unmanned mode worked substantially less than 28 % of the time.

a "For complete assurance of safety prior to widespread industrial use of intelligent Cognitive Pilot we need to test our algorithms on many millions of kilometers in all weather and road conditions, to eliminate any surprises and to assess the health of all systems" — said the President of Cognitive Technologies Olga Uskova.

It is noteworthy that Cognitive Technologies often carries out tests of an unmanned system abroad. The reason for this decision lies in the unpreparedness of the Russian legislation: it simply does not allow display of "smart" cars on public roads. Outside the country the test took place in the United States, Europe, China and Japan. In Russia, the running is carried out only in closed polygons.

Particular attention engineers pay to the tests of Cognitive Technologies in adverse conditions: during rain, snow, fog or in the dark it took about 30-35 % of the time tests. Earlier Olga Uskova said that one of the key advantages of an unmanned system, the company is the high degree adapted to the bad conditions.

Until the emergence of a fully Autonomous car is still a lot of time. It is expected that Cognitive intelligent platform Pilot will be ready for 2022-2023 years.
