But this does not mean that the fuel is equally accessible to the public
In recent months, rising in price fuel has become one of the most discussed topics among Russian motorists. However, even with the rapid price increase of gasoline in Russia was one of the most affordable in the world. The study showed the Agency Bloomberg, Russia has even entered the top ten countries with the cheapest fuel.
Experts compared the cost of gasoline in 61 countries. The study showed, for the last three months the average world price jumped by 6% per year — 15 %. So in this trend, Russia is not alone.
Really in our country of fuel remained cheap, even with the recent price hike? Bloomberg says one gallon of gasoline costs $2,73. If you translate this data in a more familiar to our eye and ear numbers, you get 44,88 ruble per liter. In General, it is far from the truth.
However, though Russia and among the ten countries with the cheapest petrol, but got there at last, the tenth place. And here's the first nine:
the
The undisputed leader is Venezuela, where the fuel is released for a purely nominal fee — $0.01 or approximately 63 cent per liter. Jealous? However, in most of Venezuela, the inhabitants are unlikely to particularly rejoice: recently it was announced that inflation for the six months exceeded 46,000 % (Yes, the number of zeros — not a typo).
However, this does not mean that Russia is an attractive fuel prices. The thing is that you should not only compare the absolute price, but relative. In the first place — taking into account income of citizens. And here we have not included even in the TOP 30. Availability of fuel Russia is located on the 34th place. Given the average daily income of $for 29.56 (1 839 rubles) ordinary Russians have to spend 2,44 % of this amount on the purchase of a liter of gasoline. For comparison, the figure for the U.S. is 0.49 percent. In other words, Americans gasoline comes out about five times cheaper.
But that's not all. Bloomberg experts decided to dig deeper and even counted how many in each country in an average year is consumed by a motorist. It so happened that in our country the driver over-year spending 329,74 liters, which is 2.2 % of annual salary. In this aspect, Russia and all was in 52 place.
Interestingly, our closest neighbour is the USA: they settled on 51 point. If you believe the research, the average American driver spends over a year 623,92 1 liter, which corresponds to 2.17 per cent of its income. Another question, is it true the fact that in America, the average driver travels as much as five times more? It's hard to believe.
Another thing is that the annual consumption 329,74 liters for a Russian driver looks very suspicious. With account taken from the ceiling of the average fuel consumption 10 litres per 100 kilometers will, that this driver will pass all 3 of 297 kilometers. Of course, these data can vary greatly depending on the vehicle and its voracity. However, how many drivers a year run a little more than three thousand kilometers?
Perhaps Bloomberg took all the gasoline consumption in the country and divided by the number of citizens? Then the numbers can be true: in the United States is extremely high motorization of the population, respectively, conditional thousand inhabitants will have much more drivers than in Russia. However, values from this comparison, no more than the study average temperature in the hospital.
