From 1 July in the French capital are banned entry of diesel vehicles older than 18.5 years

In Paris from July 1 this year came into force a ban on entering the city limits from 8:00 to 20:00 Monday to Friday diesel cars and commercial vehicles produced before 1 January 2006. In the city center are banned entry of diesel cars, in General, over the age of 13, i.e., release to 2011.
The same prohibition applies to motorcycles and three-wheeled vehicles manufactured before June 30, 2004.

This ban was introduced to reduce the depressing mortality statistics Parisians and commuters from the Metropolitan pollution of the atmosphere with particulate matter (soot).
The decision to restrict the entry was made after the publication of the report of Greenpeace which stated that Paris has become in 2018 the worst Western European capital on the level of air pollution with fine particles (soot – ed.
