German journalists described his vision of Russian car brand

One of the most unusual, desirable and interesting novelties of the Russian automotive market in 2018 has become the brand Aurus. These cars are not intended for the General public, but the appearance of such marks is still a rare event. Now the new car praised the German edition of Welt.

Journalists said that the Russian luxury cars did not exist for 30 years. The latest innovation in this class was released in the 80's armoured ZIL-41052, which went to Mikhail Gorbachev. Aurus is now ready to challenge Western brands in the face of Rolls-Royce, Bentley and Maybach-Daimler.

Welt writes that the key to success Aurus should be a combination of German engineering, the money of Arab oil sheiks (meaning one of the key markets) and the image of President Putin, who personally uses this car.

the Germans thought the amount of the development costs for a new limousine very modest 12.2 billion rubles (approximately €164 million). This amount seems particularly low given the fact that in the end will not only one car but a whole family. And the machine will be sold on the open market and exported.
