Rare car asking for 4 million euros
According to the analytical Agency "AUTOSTAT", in 2017 in the secondary market were sold more than five million vehicles. Every day, bought ten thousand "beushnye" cars. Mostly unremarkable cars, but sometimes there are real rarities. For example, now popular on the site auto.ru there was a very unusual lot — Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost Nicholas II.
This model was produced from 1906 to 1926. Its presentation in Russia took place in 1913 at the auto show in St. Petersburg. The last Russian Emperor pre-order, on which was built a machine. Luxury limousine is in the unusual by modern standards purple color. It is reported that the car was equipped with the latest technology.
This copy was released in 1914. The car is equipped with the 7.4-liter 82-horsepower gasoline engine and four-speed manual transmission. Rear — wheel drive. The mileage is only 2,000 kilometers.
After the death of Nicholas II Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost car was purchased by an American collector, and was then exhibited in his casino in Las Vegas. Some time later, the limousine was bought by another collector from Germany, who kept him in a bunker, able to withstand even a nuclear bombing. After his death, rarity was lost until the hopper has not been accidentally discovered.
It is noteworthy that in recent years the Royal Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost is not the first time put up for sale. In 2014 the German website Autoscout24 offered to buy a rare car for 5.5 million euros. This time the price tag is significantly lower — "only" 4 million euros (or about 280 million rubles). At the moment the car is still in Germany.
Surely the supporters of the revolution (or two revolutions) of 1917 may say that Nicholas II was too wasteful, because in the same 1914 Russia entered the First world war, and like spending her was useless. However, be aware that the car was ordered back in peace 1913. besides, a weakness for luxurious limos fed and the leader of the proletariat: Lenin in the garage were two "Silver Ghost".
