Over the past decade, the number of electronics in automobiles has increased dramatically. A modern car is inconceivable without intelligent systems, which are year by year becoming more complex. And although they make our lives more comfortable and safer, in some cases, this concern can backfire. Specialists not the first warning that some models are equipped with modules of Fi, it is already possible to remotely hack into. And now with an unusual warning was made by EMERCOM of Russia. Representatives of the Ministry said that hackers can disable the airbag and take control of the vehicle.

a "In 2018, a possible attack Internet-connected systems: car (disabling the airbag, the control of the machine, the tracking of the owner) and medical devices", — the document says all-Russian center of monitoring and forecasting of emergencies "Antistikhia".

In General, the break-ins automotive systems have become commonplace. For example, a couple of years ago in the USA was conducted investigatory experiment, in which talented programmer managed to hack into some systems crossover Jeep Cherokee. The hacker was able to remotely control the audio system and turn on the wipers.

Moreover, these actions that may seem cute pranks, penetration is over. Also, the geek managed to disable blocks anti-lock brake system and even gain access to the steering control: the flaw lay in the automatic Parking system.

Scary? Of course! But in fact such experiments does not mean that someone will be able to access your machine and somehow the mischief. First, during the experiment with the Jeep Cherokee OBD connector of the car was connected to the laptop, so that such a hacking could not be held in a fully remote mode. Secondly, fear is only to owners of modern technically advanced machines.

It is not excluded that in the near future the problem will become more widespread. Some companies for example Tesla are already moving to update the software "over the air", and in theory this update can take advantage of hackers to load in the car, your electronic "bookmarks." But the reality is far away: some bugs in the systems Tesla periodically found, but the manufacturer fixes them quickly.
