We all know that racing trucks "KAMAZ-master" perfectly adapted to the rally: in this case they have no equal. But what about more cars of disciplines? How about drift? The pilot team "KAMAZ-master" Eduard Nikolaev decided to try himself in this business and compete with professional drifter Mike Widecom.

Check-in took place on the territory of the Kirov plant in St. Petersburg. It is noteworthy that the new Zealand pilot Mike Widett was not only in his native element, but behind the wheel, perfectly adapted car — Mazda RX-8.

A curious fact: despite the eightfold difference in weight (the racing KAMAZ weighs nine tons), the power of the two monsters are quite comparable: in both cases it is close to a thousand horsepower. It is amazing how these cars look organically next to each other.

a "I've been used to the fact that side by side with you rushing machine of this size and mass. One wheel is more than my car!" — said Mike Widett. a "I have the most positive impressions from this adventure! In fact, we proved once again that they could show results not only in the Sands and the dunes!", — said Edward Nikolaev.

Mike Widett nicknamed "Mad Mike" made a special trip to Russia to take part in this unusual race. The project idea was born at the "Festival of speed" in Goodwood, where the legendary drifter met the pilots of the team "KAMAZ-master". Then he jokingly asked whether this huge truck to go sideways. A response was received a year later.
