Last year at the International industrial exhibition "Innoprom-2017" debuted a prototype of a hybrid truck "UAZ-PRO". This year at "Innoprom-2018", the manufacturer presented a modified version of this model. Yet it also has the status of a running prototype.

In the development of the unusual models in addition to experts of the Ulyanovsk automobile plant was attended by the engineers of the FSUE "NAMI". The car is built on the basis of the commercial model "UAZ-PRO". In this case, the truck presented in a version with two-row five-seat cabin and a cargo compartment in the van. But the battery itself is rather modest: its capacity is estimated at only 14 kWh. At the same time, in comparison with existing parallel hybrids (and the prototype refers to them) is quite an adequate figure.

If you believe asouzu, average fuel consumption pilot "UAZ-PROFI" has been reduced to 7.6 litres per 100 kilometres. The reserve was increased to 855 kilometers without additional fuel tanks. Moreover, the innovation truck can travel up to 74 miles in all-electric mode! This means that for razvodok in the city the product can work in electric mode. When working in hybrid mode the car corresponds to the perspective standards "Euro-6". Another strength of the prototype was the dynamics: acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h it spends 10.7 seconds, which is comparable to modern cars of the middle class.

Here is told about the hybrid truck said the General Director of the Ulyanovsk plant Vadim Shvetsov: "We have successfully completed the first cycle of testing of the prototype UAZ PRO with a hybrid power plant. The results obtained are already saying that this version of the truck has improved performance for fuel consumption, dynamics and environmental indicators. "UAZ PRO Hybrid" will be popular for small and medium business as a urban truck, especially for work in the center of cities. But in combination with the system ADAS and telematics platform will be the best solution for customers, which will significantly improve business performance by reducing cost of ownership and improve the safety of vehicles. It is also important to note that the new product will contribute to the development of technologies and localization of the circuitry of electric transport in Russia".

It is noteworthy that "UAZ-PROFI" is not just a concept, a running prototype that the plant intends to begin mass production after passing all the required tests. But with all the advantages in the field of economy, ecology and dynamics it is easy to predict the key disadvantage — high price. While no official comments on this matter were received, however, the automatic transmission, a powerful electric motor and battery this innovative "lorry" might not be available.
