Penetration of electromobility growing
In the Russian market of electric cars, in spite of everything, apply everything more actively. Interestingly, even with such powerful growth dynamics of supply and demand the average price of an electric vehicle for the year virtually unchanged. So, if, in the 2nd quarter of 2018, it was ₽of 1.01 million, and in the first quarter of 2019 ₽1,019 million in the 2nd quarter 2019 – ₽1,006 million, i.e. decreased by 0.4%.

Electric cars come from East and South
About a quarter of the demand for electric vehicles falls in the Volga Federal district and South Federal district. This can be explained by the dependence of the operation of the electric vehicle from atmospheric temperatures: at low temperatures the battery too quickly, so using them in the southern regions more optimally. In third place is the far Eastern Federal district, and it acts a major gateway through which the country fall of the Japanese Nissan LEAF (including mileage) and other models. That it was in the far East accounted for nearly a quarter of the total supply of electric vehicles in the country.
Naturally, the greatest price of electric vehicles registered in Moscow and Saint-Petersburg besides, with the widest choice, but they are cheaper in the North Caucasian FD.

So, the zero rate of import duty for passenger electric vehicles was abolished in the EEU from 1 September 2017. And recently, Deputy Minister of industry and trade Alexander Morozov (as well as Anatoly Chubais, who, however, believes that the public electric vehicle will develop quite rapidly – ed.) questioned the near-term prospect of the widespread introduction of passenger electric vehicles in Russia, focusing on the development of production of transport of natural gas (natural gas) because it is 30% less energy than a full charging cycle of an electric vehicle.

PS According to the Agency "Roland Berger" the cost of ownership of EVS in Russia, 40-100% higher (average for electric vehicles today costs about ₽50 million), the minimum density of the network and the high price of electric vehicles, which requires measures of state support.

At this stage, a bet on natural gas motor fuel in Russia can support the distribution capacities of "Gazprom", but to cause serious slowdown in the infrastructure for electric cars, and this, in turn, in the medium and especially long term, can lead to the preservation of environmentally unfriendly structure of the vehicle fleet (relative to the world) and qualitative backwardness of the economic and social parameters of development of the country, about the middle of the 21st century.
