Oxford EAV startup acts as a manufacturer unique delivery elektroorgana EAVan, and truck bike eCargo, developed "from a van" and not from the bike. Super EAVan with zero emissions is a biomechanical means of transport with electric drive, which was developed in partnership EAV and London creative laboratory of New Territory by the order based in Birmingham international firms for the delivery of parcels Group DPD is the most popular British company for the delivery of parcels.
Developed over two years and launched in April 2019 EAVan has already achieved success thanks to orders from DPD and its network as part of their delivery strategy Smart Urban, which they recently presented to the UK. Starting from June 26 of this year, the vans EAVan logo DPD deliver parcels all over London
(by the way, DPD may of this year, the first in the UK started to use Shuttle buses "full-length" elektroorgana Mercedes-Benz eVito, and by 2021 is going to bring a fleet of machines up to 550 units – ed.). In addition, the Norwegian logistics company Posten Norge and the Danish-Swedish postal service Posten Nord also became clients of EAVan and the stage of development are still a lot of international orders.
Van EAVan is a biomechanical hybrid ATV that focuses on the environment, which is used as a 250-watt motor, and Bicycle pedals. This van can travel up to 96.5 km (60 miles) at a speed of 25 km/h (15 mph), carrying up to 120 kg payload. It can be recharged in less than 6 hours using a standard 13-amp sockets 240V. However, to ensure continuous operation of EAVan also quick replacement of battery already charged.
Case "led-electro-van" are made from modern composites, which includes carbon fiber and the latest fully recyclable materials such as hemp fibre serves as a filler for resin-based oil from shell of cashew (in itself very toxic substances – ed.). Van EAVan light enough to ensure minimum impact on the coverage of roads, bike paths, pedestrian sidewalks and any other surfaces where it can be used.
Unique chassis EAV Cloudframe has been designed as a modular platform for a whole range of vehicles, a much wider range of applications than just van eCargo. Chassis can be expanded curb-to-curb, and extended base that allows us to offer any variant of a van or microcar for urban operation conditions: from the on-Board pick-up to mini-ambulances, conveyor services, security or taxi, but EAVan can work as a boost service or personal transport. The project is based on the desire to transform the city and, in particular, their historical centers in a quiet area without pollution from vehicles, but without losing any logistical advantages created by modern efficient vehicles.
Founder and technical Director Adam EAV Barmby commented: "EAVan is classified as a cargo electric bike, but really, we started from scratch and re-developed a completely new type of vehicle to work within the parameters of today's landscape with zero emissions, instead of traditional solutions for the delivery in the last mile, which remains costly and highly polluting segments in the logistics chain of delivery to the end client. The modular design allows us to expand or shorten the chassis and change the configuration of the rear truck part to meet all of our requirements. In addition to design flexibility, we also use a number of new technologies provides new opportunities. In fact, EAVan can move in many cities as fast or even faster than a traditional LCV or passenger car, due to the different routing (ieE. removing part of the route using, for example, pedestrian areas, streets and parks that are closed to conventional cars – ed.)".
Executive Chairman Nigel Gordon-Stewart added: "We already supply to EAVan for the DPD Group and demonstrate that they can work more efficiently and environmentally friendly than any other vans, including a pure electric, in cities and rural areas worldwide. Their adaptability for use in various applications can help significantly reduce pollution and congestion in cities. We're going to continue to move forward with crowdfunding in partnership with the resource Seedrs.com that should be a very interesting offer to the public, allowing it to directly invest in disruptive transport business with a very promising future. In EAV we are determined to achieve cleaner air and a more sustainable development of society, so that EAVan and its future derivatives is largely seen part of this vision."
Reference: Electric Assisted Vehicle Limited or "EAV" was created in 2018 in Upper Hayford in Oxfordshire, starting with the development of the concept of e-quadra for almost two years before that.
EAV announces its mission as reducing all forms of pollution from vehicles and road traffic (congestion) by improving technologies of transport and improve the air quality in cities and other settlements.
Air pollution has become a huge and worrying problem that moved a group of former engineers in aerospace technology and managers of the aerospace industry to consider in detail the problems of land transport and to find out what is really necessary and what is just pointless waste of resources. In a startup EAV for the development and creation of distribution funds eCargo with zero emissions, and personal vehicles that will be manufactured in the UK.
The basis is extremely functional, yet completely practical vehicle with zero emissions, suitable for utility work and execution functions, for example, medical or police service, laid the intellectual and innovative thoughtful design and engineering solutions based on the principles of adaptability and modularity.
To do this in collaboration with some key strategic and technical partners to create a "green" vehicle that is most suitable for the environment and complies with future environmental requirements, but at the same time is quite efficient. It utilizes innovations such as biodegradable composite body, easy in recycling chassis Cloudframe of mild steel and similar components. Transport EAV is considered safe and promising solution for urban and even rural transport with zero emission.
PS while China and India actively automobilservice and gradually (very reluctantly) take tricycle from the stories of tuk tuks and pickup trucks, the leading countries of the West, in this case Britain, on the contrary, a new technological revolution actually recreate a "green" commercial bikes, even with electric booster – dialectical paradox or "green" face of modern civilization?
By the way, I think that to make modern-day worker (not saying people here, just the opposite – it is for the health and buys bikes) to pedal, tE. to turn it into some "pariksha" is quite difficult psychologically and can spread only in combination with the draconian measures against traditional cars. I wonder, will over time, so that's the concept back in the same China and India (well, of course, and bordering regions), for example, in China, on the contrary, in July this year cut the subsidies for electric cars, saving them twice in the reduced form only for a BEV with a mileage of over 400 km, i.e. even in the field of electric vehicle here is a bet not a miniaturization, and to replace traditional car no less powerful and overall the vehicle only with the electric motor. P. P. S. In Russia, experiments with surgutinform transport like utilitarian quadromania Bajaj Qute has failed, as of the delivery pizza again returned to a full-fledged LADA Granta cars (instead of end-of UzDaewoo Matiz), but also maintain Park scooters-trikes.
