This is quite normal practice: the higher average price of the car, the higher should be its profitability. All companies aspire to it one way or another. What will surprise expensive Tesla Model 3?

The head of Tesla Ilon Musk (Elon Musk) said immediately about the two upcoming versions. Both will be all-wheel drive and a twin-engine. The most affordable of them will receive the same 262-horsepower engine that is already installed in the back. The key purpose of this electric vehicle will achieve maximum range.

According to the Mask, "long-range" Tesla Model 3 will be able to travel up to 500 kilometers on a single charge. The autonomy of the "simple" version of the electric car is limited to 350 kilometers. However, even this basic twin-engine version will have more expressive dynamics: acceleration time from 0 to 96 km/h (60 mph) will be 4.5 seconds (versus 5.6 seconds in the cheap version Model 3). The maximum speed is limited at around 225 km/h.

But most of all, excitement has gathered the most powerful modification of the Tesla Model 3. It is expected that she will get more efficient rear motor (specifications are not yet disclosed). Musk flaunts data about the acceleration and "maximum speed": supposedly this version will be able to exchange first "hundred" (to be precise, the same 96 km/h) in 3.5 seconds, and the limit will be extended up to 250 km/h. It's not Tesla Model S P100D, but in comparison with the usual cars and these data seem incredible. The reserve is the same — 500 miles.

In his microblog Musk assured the fans that the older version of Tesla Model 3 will be 15 % faster than the BMW M3. And yet the electric vehicle to be an advantage in handling. The head of Tesla just says that the Model 3 "tear" anyone from this class (formally Tesla Model 3 and BMW 3 Series are classmates).

The company has already started taking pre-orders for the twin-engined Tesla Model 3. The only problem is when customers can get their cars. Summer will be a year, as the company formally launched the production Model 3, but with serial production there were still big problems. The line stretched a year in advance (this is the official version), this is not the limit. Perhaps the situation with twin-engine machines will be a little easier because of this hype they will cause. Even more "Tesla" would be more profitable to sell it to them, so for buyers of these machines can be artificially reduced.
