Two days ago, we govorili about the announcement of the first civil electric vehicle from concern "Kalashnikov". The compact model has a 68-horsepower electric motor and four salon, however, is devoid of doors. But the ambitions of the legendary Russian brand go far beyond such projects. Now Kalashnikov has encroached neither more nor less than the leadership of "Tesla".

Yes, the "Kalashnikov" seriously talking about what can press the "Tesla". However, while they presented just the concept. But what! Based on the experimental model CV-1, demonstrated at the international forum "Army-2018", lies the body of the legendary IZH-21252 "Kombi".

The appearance of the Soviet wagon has been comprehensively modified. The designers have preserved the General features of the body, but the new minimalist front grille with a tiny led headlights. Also the car is equipped with low-profile tires, and the clearance became markedly less.

But more importantly, what is hidden inside. Fast-acting control system of modular batteries that achieve a 2000 A (3000 A term) with the control elements in real time and control charging and overdischarge accelerate charging and increase efficiency of components.

Traction battery energizes the "revolutionary" inverter with dimensions 50 x 50 x 100 cm and weight 50 kg. Allegedly this source allows you to power the device up to 1.2 MW. And that's 1,600 horsepower, for a moment.

In the conceptual Kombi while much less — "only" 220 kW or 299 HP. The peak power reaches 680 HP (500 kW). The battery capacity is comparable with the older versions of "Tesla" — 90 kW·h power Reserve is estimated at 350 kilometers.

The dynamic characteristics of the concept of CV-1 are not reported. Still, with a retro aerodynamics (the car was developed in the late 60's) and this rabid herd under the hood and wonder off. However, this restomod touted as a stand for testing promising solutions.

a "This technology will allow us to stand on a par with international manufacturers of electric cars, like Tesla, to compete with them. When creating our concept we were inspired by the experience of world market leaders" — said the representatives of "Kalashnikov". Cool story.
