Held in Kaluga in mid-October the IX international forum on development of automotive industry and infrastructure development "Avtoevolyutsiya 2018" the Fund "SKOLKOVO" showed their vision of the future of car ownership in the world and in Russia.
Speaker – head of transport infrastructure projects Cyril zhanaydarov showed the nearest seat and not very future of motorization in the context of civilizational development.
So, trend No. 1 is "the Refusal of the internal combustion engine" for the sake of reducing harmful effects on the environment. K. zhanaydarov noted that transport the development of civilization comes from the use of muscular force of people and animals to the electric drive, the first approach to it was in the early 20th century, when electric cars (mainly taxi), for example, in new York was quite serious competition to the cars with internal combustion engines, however, then lost competitiveness and to the end of the last century was considered exotic.
Evolution
However, the development of progress and technology is a spiral, and on its new stage the idea of the drive was again promising and is gradually becoming competitive with conventional cars with internal combustion engines. So the cost of kWh batteries have fallen from $1,200 in 2010 to approximately $220 in 2017. It is expected that by 2020 this cost will fall by 90% to $100-150 per kWh that actually level the cost of electromobiles and conventional vehicles with internal combustion engines. Given that the notorious "deselect", hit primarily by the German automaker led to a precipitous drop in demand for diesel cars, it is expected that the passenger cars on the electric drive (BEV and PHEV) will be able to displace them from the market of Western Europe in the early 2020s.

One of the first leading manufacturers fully passing already from 2019 to electric vehicles and hybrids will become firm Volvo Cars (known to be owned by Chinese company Geely Motor). Further, by 2023 half of its lineup for the actuator to translate the famous Porsche (from diesel versions, by the way, she refused to do the same this year). By 2025, Daimler AG hopes to increase sales of its electric cars to 15-25% of the total sales of their passenger cars, and the Chinese BAIC, in General, refuses models with internal combustion engines. In the same year on the world market, consumers will be able to choose from no less than 79 new models of electric vehicles. The average time of recharge will be reduced to 15 minutes. By 2030 Toyota Motor expects to sell at least 5.5 million vehicle with zero emission (electric and vodorodnaya). Accordingly, the Volkswagen Group the entire range of all, its owned brands will be covered with electric vehicles.
