The first electric car (BEV) a new line of ID – ID electro hatchback costs.3 white ceremoniously rolled off the Assembly line automobile plant in Zwickau in today's Monday. This process is watched by German Chancellor Dr Angela Merkel and CEO of the Volkswagen group Dr. Herbert Diess.
Herbert Diess said, "ID.3 will make an important contribution to the breakthrough of electromobility. He gives environmentally friendly individual mobility to millions of people and is an important milestone for our company on the way to the year 2050 to become climate neutral by the manufacturer".
Breakthrough in plans of Volkswagen Group is to achieve the level world sales 22 million electric vehicles by 2028.
The Volkswagen plant in Zwickau, is to play a key role in this strategic direction, becoming the world's first major car manufacturing completely rebuilt with production of traditional cars with internal combustion engines (ICE) to release electric vehicles (BEV).
Zwickau plan to produce about 100 000 electric cars in the next year.
With Jul for electric vehicles will be rebuilt and the second string of the pipeline, thereby moving the plant to produce exclusively electric cars. By 2021, the annual capacity of the enterprise will be increased to 330 000 electric vehicles that will make this production facility, the largest in Europe.
Electric car ID.3 based on a modular platform Volkswagen electric mobility MEB and sets new environmental criteria: its production is declared as carbon-neutral, which means that the manufacturers guarantee the clients that the production of CO2 into the atmosphere emissions. In the production of energy-intensive accumulators for ID.3 also uses exclusively green energy. Emissions from the entire production process, which at the current level of technology development is still inevitable, komentiruyte, in particular through investment in climate project "Katingan Mata forest" on the Indonesian island of Borneo.
The basic version of ID.3 in Germany valued at less than €30 000. The market across Europe ID.3 will be released in the summer of 2020. More than 35,000 clients from around the world made a pre-booking ID.3, by making advance payment for the Deposit.
Through a phased transformation of the plant in Zwickau Volkswagen Group is the first fully transformered largest automobile plant in the electric car manufacturer. Investment in the conversion amounted to approximately €1.2 billion In the final phase of the extension from 2021 in Zwickau will produce on the platform, MEB six models of electric cars of three brands of the group.
To work on a new production of electric vehicles for all 8 000 employees conducting training for the production of electric vehicles and work with high-voltage technology. The production team of the factory in Zwickau will hold a total of about 13 000 training days by the end of 2020, which will provide jobs in the future.
Member of the Board of Directors of Volkswagen E-Mobility Thomas Ulbrich commented: "ID.3 is a high – tech electric car from a high-tech factory. With a fleet of 1,700 robots, industrial transport systems without drivers and fully automated production processes, the factory in Zwickau gives you real idea about the format promising the mass production of electric vehicles. Ultimately, it is people who build cars which have become key to success: our team in Saxony develops a two-year cycle of conversion, which has culminated in the current SOP with a lot of know-how and competencies. This is an outstanding achievement for our team!".

Herbert Diess added, "With strong membership in electric mobility, Volkswagen is making an important contribution to climate protection and thereby creates a long-term prospect for about 100,000 employees at its German factories. Germany must be ahead on innovation and improve the level of skills throughout the value chain of electromobility. That's why we not only produce (complete ed.) electric cars in Germany, but at the same time took the decision to design and manufacture electric motors and rechargeable cells and batteries. In the coming years Germany will be a powerful cluster for the production of electric vehicles."
In addition to the production at the plant in Zwickau, factories for the production of components ID.3 are in Brunswick, Kassel, Salzgitter and Wolfsburg. They produce key components such as motors or battery systems. Automotive plants in Emden and Hannover, as planned, will start producing electric vehicles in 2022. In addition, the Volkswagen Group is also working with startup Northvolt to build a major plant for the production of batteries in Salzgitter.

PS Recently about the start of ID.3 at the plant in Zwickau I wrote, but the event is so vsemilostivogo values (not literally – history is happening before our eyes), it is no sin to turn to him again. Volkswagen Group multi-billion dollar bet on electric (and €1.2 billion is only the first installment) many experts even called "adventurous", as if based on an accelerated transition to electric cars are too optimistic, that's a bummer for the Volkswagen Group, has lost $35 billion scandal to "Deselect" it may be even fatal. At the same time, if the highest bid fails, the planet in the 21st century will continue to drive cars of the Volkswagen brand.
By the way, in China the first electric Volkswagen will not ID.3 (the second), and electrocreaser ID.Next (at the time of Gas to apply on the VW sued for using the same name – ha ha), which is the end of 2020 will produce SAIC VW factory in Guangzhou, and the Chinese ID.3 goes later the factory SAIC VW in Anytine.
P. P. S. In conclusion, I can quote some very interesting graphs on the topic of development of the world of electromobility from the latest issue of analytical journal "Fuel market":

After the euphoria of gesubsidieerde to promote electric vehicles in the 2010s, the most passionate about the subject, governments are already pointing curtailing such subsidies

Benefits package for owners of electric cars in different countries are very diverse, for example, in Denmark it has not been as effective as in Norway

In this "delicious" set of benefits understand how Norway has become a world leader electromobility

But this very interesting pair of the graph clearly shows that the electric car can provide real help to mankind in curbing the warming of the atmosphere and climate change exclusively. in collaboration with the production of "green" electricity (i.e. wind and solar). Well, emission of microparticles from BEV and ICE almost the same, and exhaust gas occupy in a surprisingly small fraction of

General result: by 2030, the total Park andavtotransporta will not exceed 5%. Most likely in the Volkswagen Group, this conclusion does not agree...
