The deputies proposed to make all Parking free for electric vehicles

This measure is intended to stimulate demand for environmentally friendly cars

While the owners of electric vehicles in Russia is not provided any significant benefits. Meanwhile, in many countries, motorists are pushing for the purchase of environmentally friendly transport subsidies, tax concessions and other privileges. Perhaps the first relief in this area will soon appear in our country: the deputies will soon consider a bill to abolish paid Parking for electric vehicles.

The project was made by deputies of the LDPR. a "the strategy of development of the automotive industry of the Russian Federation for the period until 2025, even in an optimistic scenario, sales of electric cars for the Russian market means the gap from the global growth of electric vehicles sales by an average of 4-5 years. Thus, the share of electric cars sales in the Russian market in 2020 may reach 1-1,5% (i.e., 15-25 thousand cars). In order to stimulate the development of the electric car market in Russia the Strategy provides an integrated approach that includes possible measures of support and regulation implemented at the regional and Federal levels", — stated in the explanatory Memorandum.

Under the bill, owners of electric cars will be free to use paid Parking. It is noteworthy that such a measure is already working in Moscow, which in theory allows you to save up to tens or even hundreds of thousands of rubles a year.
