At a meeting with his deputies, the Prime Minister promised: "we will Start this very soon – December 1"

Drone testing will take place in certain areas in the capital and in Tatarstan. Accordingly, in the innovation centres SKOLKOVO and Innopolis such experiments are already underway in increasing volumes including even the unmanned taxi.

For example, the St. Petersburg NGO StarLine has just completed a 2.5 thousand kilometer mileage on the drone of the 3rd level from St. Petersburg to Kazan, of course, in a largely Autonomous mode. However, due to the lack yet accurate (digital) road maps in some areas (entrances-exits of the highways, intersections and interchanges, as well as the difficult part of the urban roads management took the driver's test.

In the course of the route command StarLink faced difficulties of defining the boundaries of the roadway on roads without markings. However, the necessary data to participate in organized by the innovative center "SKOLKOVO" contest "Winter city" was received. Autonomous cars will demonstrate their ability to focus on winter roads, in bad weather and at a constant contamination of the sensors with snow and dirt.

Respectively in SKOLKOVO want to achieve from the drone of the efficiency of the technology for Autonomous driving in such conditions, they must overcome a distance of 50 km in no more than three hours, naturally, at observance of all traffic regulations.
Dmitry Medvedev emphasized that: "But this dream came true, the necessary regulatory conditions, and existing rule presumes that any vehicle should sit the driver".

The experiment involves the confirmation of the possibility of operating unmanned vehicles on public roads, and afford to develop the technical requirements of the automated control system, including the requirements directly to the UAVs taking into account their further certification. As head of test laboratory for the evaluation of security requirements defined by the Central research Institute of US.
The official period of duration of the experiment until March 1, 2022.
Deputy Prime Minister Maxim Akimov remarked that: "This is the total period of the experiment, but I hope that in six months we will have changes in the regulatory framework and adjustment of technical regulations that are required for further development."
