Unmanned vehicles Chery will be tested on public roads in Chongqing

In December 2018, Chery Automobile has obtained a license to test driverless cars on public roads in one of the largest cities in Central China – Chongqing.

The territory of future test travel of unmanned vehicles includes more than 85 per cent of the world scenarios, schemes, arrangement of transport interchanges at different levels: bridges, tunnels, high-speed loops, ramps, twists and more. The routes also goes through the unique multi-level interchanges "3D cities" and "5D interchanges", which will be an important test of the examination for unmanned vehicles.
The development of smart technologies is an important area for concern CHERY. The company has repeatedly demonstrated their achievements in the development of autopilots and unmanned technologies at industry trade shows and conferences, and is now very close to testing Autonomous cars on public roads.

In January 2018 in Las Vegas at the world's largest technology fair CES, the company CHERY presented the Chery Arrizo 5 sedan based on the platform of automatic driving Baidu Apollo. The car attracted the attention of experts and visitors praised the achievements of the partnership companies CHERY and BAIDU.  PS At the end of 2018, the export volume of Chery Automobile in 80 countries of the world increased by 18%, to 126 993 units. This allowed the brand Chery 16th consecutive year to retain the position of leader among all automotive companies and 5th place among all Chinese companies and known brand outside of China. For the year 2018 (according to manufacturer) in the domestic market implemented 752 759 cars, which is 11% higher than the previous year. A particularly significant breakthrough was made in the segment of electric vehicles, where the holding Chery Automobile increased sales by 146% to 90 537 units.
In 2018, Chery launched a series of new models (see the photo on the splash screen), including Arrizo GX, Jetour X70, 3xe Tiggo, Tiggo 8 and an updated version of the Tiggo 5x (export name – Tiggo 4).
