Volkswagen NFZ prepares for Caravan Salon 2018 new camper

New serial camper VW on the basis of the Crafter created based on the concept California XXL

Engineers branch of Volkswagen NFZ (Commercial vehicles) have a basis for a new camper last year's California concept XXL. First serial new camper on the basis of the VW Crafter will be presented at the Caravan Salon in 2018, which will be held in düsseldorf from 24 August to 2 September.

The production version of the van-camper absorbed the philosophy of the advanced and cool design concept California XXL. At the same time it bears features of the legendary travel model on the basis of California VW T6, which will be borrowed and the two colors – solid and two-tone.

Among the characteristic features of the interior design – the combination of bright colors and practicality. So, bathroom with toilet and shower, cooking facilities and a sleeping area built into the back of the body, thoroughly thought through and adapted to life on wheels.

Recall that the production of Volkswagen California began in 1988 with the models created on the basis of the third generation Bulli. 

Today, a division of Volkswagen NFZ is already the sixth generation of the popular models, recently celebrated its 30-year anniversary of the release of one hundred thousandth car.
