Yesterday was the Grand launch of a series of NGV (dual-fuel) subfamily LADA Largus CNG, including a 5-seat passenger version, a 2-seat van and 5-seater version of LADA Largus Cross. The announcement of these series versions Largus was back on February 20th of this year.
From conventional gasoline cars LPG CNG versions Largus differ in the location of the respective gas equipment, primarily a gas cylinder for the partition separating the cockpit from the cargo compartment,
preserving it big enough for the delivery of capacity – 2225 l (loss of usable capacity is 315 liters).
So that considering the cheapness of fuel gas (in Moscow about ₽17 per cubic meter, equivalent to a liter of petrol) LADA Largus van CNG it is quite a lucrative proposition for small and medium business.
Cars created by AVTOVAZ in collaboration with a company of GK "ATS", which is a direct posledovatelno installation HBO for LADA.
All work on the installation and quality control occur at the production site of GC "ATS".
Components PBX receives from one of the leading manufacturers of gas equipment – Italian company Emer. Package includes: reducer, valve, ramp switching button (on the console near the lever ITUC), pipes and hoses.
Accordingly, the metal-composite cylinder capacity of up to 22 m3 methane delivers Chinese firm Sinoma.
All the differences between the models, and Largus Vesta CNG CNG due to the location of the container and the layout of the engine compartment. In Largus van CNG tank is located behind the partition of the cabin, in versions universal and Cross – in the Luggage compartment. Because of this, use the tubes of different lengths.
Also due to the difference of the location of the engine and components engine compartment use additional mounting brackets of the gearbox and tubes. It should be noted that the brackets – just localized products, local suppliers.
Differently placed button to switch the type of fuel, it also plays the role of the light indicator of the presence of gas in the tank. If, on the Vesta it is installed on the front panel, then Largus – near the lever of the MCP. The main light provides information about the type of fuel that is currently in use and four LEDs signal the amount of gas in the quarters of the volume.
Accordingly, Largus, in contrast to Vesta, the harness is suitable to the mounting block and the switch of fuel placed on the conveyor of AVTOVAZ line B0. On Vesta make this operation directly in the production of GK "ATS".
Also don't glue on the rear door version Largus Cross CNG and label Cross that replaces the emblem of the "CNG".
The place of installation of the fuel filler neck on Largus CNG also forced changed due to insufficient depth of the space under the standard fuel filler flap. Here Vesta has some advantage, as it was originally designed for the use of the second fuel.
For this reason, in the production of the prepared hole is set to special bracket that allows to "drown" fitting fuelling with methane. Due to this, the hatch began to close easily and securely.
All cars fitted with LPG in the production of GK "ATS", are subjected to quality control procedures, appropriate standards of Renault-Nissan. For this purpose the plant was built by the special case, where in addition to the quality control of the Assembly, the system checked for possible leaks and make a diagnosis of the installed LPG engine and work on different types of fuel in General.
A series of LADA Largus CNG equipped with 16-valve 1.6-liter engine and 5-speed manual gearbox. Data on actual power when operating on methane yet, but some loss (about 7-9%) is inevitable.
The issue of motor LADA was dedicated to held on 2 April at the production site of JSC AVTOVAZ expanded meeting on the topic: "Development of gas motor fuel market of the Russian Federation, stimulation of demand and supply for equipment running on natural gas", which was attended by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of OJSC "Gazprom" Victor Zubkov, the President of JSC AVTOVAZ Eve Karakatsanis, representatives of ministries, agencies, automotive companies, component manufacturers, private business.
President Yves Karakatsanis in particular noted that his company AVTOVAZ is consistently developing range of LADA CNG. He said: "We see strong demand for these cars, as with corporate clients, in particular, taxi companies, and private owners. We are grateful to the state for the support of the market and manufacturers of CNG vehicles and we expect that these measures will be maintained in the coming years in a stable volume.
Recall that in July 2017, AVTOVAZ started serial production of bi-fuel vehicle with gas installation, designed for the use of compressed natural gas (CNG) – CNG LADA Vesta. The use of methane as fuel is today recognized as the most safe, environmentally friendly and affordable solution. Its use increases engine life and reduces fuel expenditure by more than 3 times. In addition, the gas in case of leakage efficiently dissipated to the atmosphere, providing a high resistance to fire.
P.S. it is known that state funding of the program of development of motor fuel in the current year, if not curtailed completely, then cut significantly. So that from words to deeds is sometimes of distantsiya huge size....
