The end of rust?
Even those who never in life not exploited "UAZ", know perfectly well that one of the main problems of the domestic SUV's is the poor resistance to corrosion. Even if hard to take care of the body, sooner or later, it will appear treacherous "mushrooms". Now the representatives of the plant said that thanks to new technologies the company has managed to double the corrosion resistance of the body.
In this case it is about using advanced cataphoresis primer of the American company PPG. It includes sulfamic acid, which increases the penetrating ability. In particular, the soil of the new generation fills in hidden cavities, including the sills, front and rear racks. In addition to this improves the quality of processing of edges of metal. All in the sum allows to significantly improve anti-corrosion properties of the body.
Engineers of "UAZ" and PPG has already conducted laboratory tests. According to the results of a comparative test experts came to the conclusion that the surface-treated with the new composition of the body element is formed about half as much rust after 1 500 hours, than the metal, treated the old soil.
Another new feature at the Ulyanovsk plant does not end there. Since February, on all frame models, the company applied an additional coat of paint materials, which is also supposedly doubles the resistance to corrosion. In addition, in the press shop began to use more tech metal with high corrosion resistance.
