The President of Russia Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister Shinzo Abe took part in the opening of a plant producing engines Mazda.

The new production site is located in Vladivostok.

Factory will release just one engine — a gasoline two-liter "atmosfernika" series Mazda Skyactiv-G. It has a capacity of 150 horsepower and complies with the environmental class Euro 5. Such engine is installed on several models of Mazda. The estimated capacity of 50,000 engines per year.

The area of the new building is estimated at 12 600 square meters. It is built close to the existing shops, car Assembly site Mazda Sollers. The construction took just one year: work began in the fall of 2017.

Inside the case is a shop on manufacture of engines, machining the cylinder head, the area of internal logistics and administrative building.

The plant provides 150 jobs. However, some parts of the Assembly is fully robotized.

a "We will produce the Mazda Skyactiv engines, the most efficient in the world, here, in Vladivostok. This plant will develop as one of the international production sites" — said the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Mazda Motor Corporation Masamichi Kogai.

According to the head of Sollers Vadim Shvetsov, the new plant is the first high-tech production in the Russian far East.
