In EXPOFORUM Convention and exhibition centre 4-7 April was the largest in 2019 all-Russian automotive forum – the first St. Petersburg international motor show. The company also announced its plans to enter the Russian market in 2019. During the St. Petersburg motor show, GAC Motor has signed cooperation agreements with several Russian dealers. It is expected that in the next three to five years, the GAC will create a network of local dealers in the 20 largest cities of Russia.

The largest exhibition stand with an area of 1000 m² became the epicentre of the exhibition. Attracting many visitors, who were able to see the entire line of cars of this brand, including a new electric SUV GE3 version 530, the GM8 and GM6 minivans, sedans GA4 and GA8, as well as four SUV models – GS8, GS5, GS4 and GS3. Moreover, the model GM6 and GS5 was presented to the Russian audience for the first time.

In 2019 GAC Motor presented a model GS8 and in the near future will offer other models that are now certified by the relevant authorities in Russia:

• GS8 – flagship 7-seater SUV is a luxury version for Russia, enables off-road driving, intelligent security configuration, the current system of all-wheel drive, fully independent multi-link (rear) suspension with stabilizer bars
• GM8 – the first minivan GAC Motor, showed the advanced technology, spectacular design, luxurious interior trim, intelligent functions and high security

• GS5 – fashionable SUV with upgraded engine and a complete set, representing a balance between stability and comfort

GAC participated in the auto show in Detroit. But because of a trade dispute between China and the U.S. the company has postponed plans to launch sales in North America.
In 2018, the GAC has implemented 535 168 sedans, crossovers and SUVs under the brand Trumpchi, which is 5.2% higher than a year earlier.
The state company also operates joint ventures on manufacture of cars from Toyota Motor Corp. Honda Motor Co., Mitsubishi Motors Corp. and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles in China.

Increasing the working volume of the power unit to 3.0 l (compared to the 2.7 l in the previous version of the engine EvoTech 2.7) allowed to increase the power up to 120 HP when driving on petrol (when moving compressed gas 109 HP) and maximum torque to 252 N·m (225 N·m when moving compressed gas). The car retains the comfort, safety and functionality of the NEXT family, adding to their high economic efficiency and environmental friendliness. Compressed gas – the most cost effective used in commercial transportation fuels, its use provides a reduction in operating costs by 40-50% (depending on the mileage and characteristics of a particular model) compared to gasoline and diesel fuel.
Another promising model – bus "GAZelle NEXT", created on the basis of a unified electroplaters that is designed for the whole model range of light commercial vehicles GAZ. Platform it is possible to manufacture the side of trucks, vans and minibuses. The gearbox and the traction battery located in the vehicle frame that enables you to use all the cabin space for passengers. The bus created in the framework of the program "Accessible urban environment", the distinctive feature of the model – low floor-convenient for elderly people, passengers with disabilities and passengers with prams.
