Motors "UAZ" will cease to flow

UAZ rarely updates its model line: Ulyanovsk SUVs continue to be decades without significant changes. However, occasionally the Ulyanovsk factory upgrade stuffing their cars. This time good news came from the key partner — Zavolzhsky motor factory (ZMZ). They reported that overcame a longstanding problem of "UAZ" — flow engine.

ZMZ has long been virtually the sole supplier of engines for UAZ. In particular, gasoline engines ZMZ-409 are installed at all key model: "Patriot", "Loaf", "hunter" and more recently "Pro". This powertrain was upgraded.

In this case speech not about wearing a substantial upgrade, use of new materials and increasing performance. On ZMZ just launched a new robotic line, which is responsible for the application of the sealant on the oil sump of the engine. Previously, this operation was done manually. Exclusion of the human factor allowed to reduce the number of marriage. According to representatives of factory, now oil leak between engine block and oil sump are eliminated in full. Investments in new equipment are estimated at seven million rubles.

Depending on the version 2.7-liter four-cylinder engines of family ZMZ-409 develop from 112 to 150 horsepower (the latter modification is still applied only on the commercial models of "Professional"). It is expected that soon the 150-strong version will also appear on "the Patriot". Also not the first rumor about the preparation of a new gasoline turbo engine, issuing up to 170 "horses", however, reliable information on this account yet.
