Volkswagen NFZ introduced a version 6.1 camper VW California Beach kitchen

At exhibition Caravan Salon, taking place in düsseldorf from 31 August to 8 September a division of the Volkswagen Group – Volkswagen Commercial vehicles (NFZ) has pleased a world premiere – the new Volkswagen camper California 6.1. In version Beach for the first time in the basic configuration, the vehicle appeared in the kitchen. Until now this equipment was only available in more expensive versions of Coast and Ocean.
The main difference between the Volkswagen California Beach from Coast and Ocean from wide kitchen – fully equipped Beach upgraded foldaway kitchenette. The wider kitchen Coast and Ocean always offered a seat in the passenger compartment, and the new California Beach 6.1 can be equipped with triple seat as an additional option, that expanded opportunity for travel most family – the new model with the kitchen in the cabin can comfortably accommodate five people.
6.1 new California Beach with kitchenette named Camper. Accordingly, the version of the Beach without the mini-kitchen from now on will carry the additional title of Tour. New to this version will be two sliding door as standard – left and right. Previously Beach was equipped with sliding doors only on the right side. Both versions of the Beach – Tour and Camper, was another common feature: in addition to the standard characteristics of the new digital control unit, enabling in the roof console (the previous model control unit Kemper absent). Also for both models for the first time ever instead of manual control optional hydraulic drive of the lifting roof. In this case, the opening and closing of the roof is, like many other functions using the control unit motor home.
New kitchenette expands the functionality of the model 6.1 California Beach. Before use, it extends upward from the side panels between the uprights B and C and decomposed. A block of stainless steel equipped with a single hob gas cooker on the left and the working surface on the right. Gas stove is also equipped with a lid during cooking rises to serve as protection from splashes. When the plate/ work surface of the kitchenette is not used, it is simply possible to raise and lower the side panel, which, incidentally, is not wider than the similar model without a kitchen. Under the plate/ work surface at the side walls is a large open storage compartment and enclosed storage compartment for gas cylinder weight 1,8 kg.

Usually California 6.1 is used in everyday life as a standard car, most of all – families. So it is sometimes necessary to move more than four or five people. For such cases, Volkswagen NFZ offers individual seats in the second row. Despite the kitchen facilities in the new California 6.1 Beach provides space for two individual seats. When the kitchenette is folded, the position of the bench seat and separate seats you can freely change. Depending on the version of a bench seat in the third row, the car becomes a six - or seven-seat minivan. It should be noted that any model Beach type
Camper is equipped with more than five seats. Want to use Beach with kitchenette and six or seven seats and is available not in the version Camper version Tour, but they will lose the sliding door on the left, though, and keep the kitchenette. Compact design transformable kitchen clearly says that the new California 6.1 to a greater extent than ever, has become a truly versatile solution on the market for compact motorhomes.
