According to him, the American company decided to stay in Russia only in the segment of light commercial vehicles (LCV), due to problems with the sale of cars.
In the same time, Kozak in an interview with Kommersant, said that LCV market series Ford Transit is in demand and will continue to develop it jointly with partner Group SOLLERS. By the way, it will get a controlling stake in the joint venture "FORD SOLLERS" after its restructuring.
In the moment SOLLERS just discussing the possibility of concluding Spica, in which in Elabuga will be the localized production of a series of Ford Transit. This list may be signed in two months.
P. S. in January Ford Motor announced the reduction of its presence in the Old world, i.e. to close factories in England, Germany and Spain, abandoning the number of models. So that Russia here is shared row with other markets. As the saying goes – nothing personal, just business.
