Date may 27, 2019 was a landmark for Naberezhnye Chelny, as in this day has inaugurated a new plant for the production of frames of cabins for trucks KAMAZ and Mercedes-Benz.
The opening of a new plant for the production of cabins for trucks in Naberezhnye Chelny was also an important milestone in the history of cooperation with the largest Russian manufacturer of heavy trucks KAMAZ and one of the leading international automotive companies Daimler AG. The new production will be managed by JV "DAIMLER KAMAZ RUS".
The plant's capacity is 55 thousand cabs per year. Unified frames of the booths will be supplied on the Assembly line of KAMAZ (102) and Assembly production of trucks of Mercedes-Benz (27 variants). Commissioning of the new enterprise area of nearly 60 thousand m2 will create 700 new jobs.
Modern production, equipped with more than 120 industrial robots, today is one of the most highly automated automobile industry in Russia.

After welding the frames of the cabins on the conveyor to the second floor, and then they go to the line of cataphoresis and coloring and then line drying.

The new plant strictly adhere to the principles of logistics and lean production. Built at the factory for the manufacture frames of the booths highly automated welding shop, equipped to achieve premium quality, painting workshop technology "wet on Wet" on the basis of super-hard coating materials, automatic loading system is available in specialized trailers for further transportation on the Assembly line became the first such emerging technologies in Russia. The total investment in the plant of the frames of the booths amounted to more than ₽14 billion.
