Recently there was news that AVTOVAZ from OAO was just AO, i.e., changed the status of public joint-stock company for non-public. What follows from this? For consumers of its products – practically nothing. For journalists and analysts of the stock market and the automotive industry narrowed the database, which now, under its new status AVTOVAZ to publish is not required. Now financial information about the activities of the company were secret, if not for the seven seals, then at least a trade secret, to reveal that the manufacturer is now absolutely not have to. It is not required now to give the statistics (except Rosstat), if only does not consider it necessary for his image. Not obtain to reveal it now and personnel movement, and to convene a meeting of shareholders.
In General, the non-public status of the production and other companies is tailor-made for the current Russian business, which not so much is counting on foreign investment (which in turn without the publicity almost impossible), but fears sanctions prosecution of their assets and the assets of its partners. Hence, complete elimination in Russia such thing as IPO.
So amazing, the fact that AVTOVAZ withdrew from publicity (before he actually performed the role of the main indicator of the state of Affairs in the Russian automobile industry), and the fact that he did it much later than the other large commercial companies.
On the basis of what now will be analyzed the market condition of the Russian automotive industry (including the Assembly of foreign cars) is not clear. Whether our LADA and other cars with Russian VIN of higher quality – judge for yourself. In any case, the amount of state subsidies current automotive production, and even given also opaque initially Spiked, is actually equivalent to the state secret.
