"AVTOVAZ" has announced the production of liftback Lada Granta in Togliatti. Previously, there was produced only as a sedan in this family, and piatigorski went off the Assembly line in Izhevsk.

From the moment the Izhevsk factory became part of "AVTOVAZ", it produced sedans Lada Granta in parallel with the main line in Togliatti. In 2014, the company's management decided to divide the tasks: in Izhevsk began to produce liftback, Togliatti sedans.

In the same 2014, the President of "AVTOVAZ" Bo Andersson announced the release pyatidverok in Togliatti. Later it intervened in the crisis, and then in the company was held reshuffle. Four years later, this initiative was executed.

From the production site "Izhevsk Lada" was moved more than 500 units of welding equipment and tooling. In parallel with preparation and training of specialists in Togliatti to work second shift on the line Kalina/Granta. In connection with the expansion of production, had to employ additional staff from the Industrial Park of "AVTOVAZ".

From now on, "Izhevsk Lada" will focus on assembling just one model — "Vesta".
