The upgraded Ford Sollers today – July 1 officially launched operations. In the new structure of the company the shareholders of the Ford Motor Company and JSC "SOLLERS" still remained, though, and have revised their shares. So a controlling stake (51%) in this received PJSC "SOLLERS", which now takes managing shareholder in the authorized capital.
As stated earlier, Ford Sollers, the joint venture will focus on quite successful for the light commercial vehicle segment, where it offers a popular series Ford Transit MkVI with the widest range of versions and special social purpose at its base. The production of LCVs continues at the Ford Sollers plant in the special economic zone "Alabuga" (Elabuga, Tatarstan) by full cycle including welding and painting.

In plans of the joint venture, of course, is the increase in production volumes, which should allow Ford Transit not only to maintain the leading position among foreign brands in Russian market (and 3rd place among brands LCVs, including Russian), but also to try to increase the share in the segment. So, from January to may 2019, were sold more than 4000 cars Ford Transit, which corresponds to a share of 15% in the segment of two-ton commercial transport.

One of the priority projects of the joint venture Ford Sollers is a further development of the vertical localization, which includes organization in our country the entire production chain from raw materials to finished components.

Production of the Ford Transit in Elabuga goes through the full cycle

For example, this year, confirming that there were bumpers for Ford Transit, now running out of material "Machinest". The supply chain includes: PJSC "Tatneft" – production, PJSC "Nizhnekamskneftekhim" (Nizhnekamsk) – base polymers, LLC "Machinest" (Kazan) – compounds, LLC "Heaton Plast 2" bumper. Thus, the entire production chain from oil extraction and processing of raw materials, to manufacturing the part and its installation on the vehicle is localized at 100% on the petrochemical and automotive sectors of the Republic of Tatarstan. Also of local raw materials is the instrument panel and door panels for the Ford Transit.
In addition, OOO Ford Sollers Yelabuga, which created the upgraded Ford Sollers joint venture in Russia, had on 7 June to sign a special investment contract (SPIC) with the Ministry of industry and trade of the Russian Federation for the development of production line of Ford Transit in Russia.
