Conveyor Continental tyre plant in Kaluga has gone 10-millionth automobile tire

 to Reach the 10 million mark Continental was able in just 5 years after the official opening of the company in Kaluga. In honor of this event, the factory Continental solemn ceremony with the participation of members of the government of Kaluga region and the Board of Directors of the company and the company's employees, journalists and consumers.

The plant in Kaluga – supplier of a wide range of tires for passenger cars and LCVs. Products of the plant presented on the territory of Russia, countries of the Asia-Pacific region, Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The company is well known at the level of global production networks Continental owing to its unmatched quality products. Recognition of the success of the plant was awarded an internal award for the best quality in 2017. In total, 2013 state of the enterprise has grown to thousands of employees.

"A tire plant in Kaluga was created "from scratch", but in that time managed to grow into an independent company and become a model of success. In 2011, we laid the Foundation of this plant, in 2013 started in 2014 celebrated production of the millionth tyre, and today reached 10 000 000. The tires produced at the Kaluga plant Continental using German technology, are supplied to the Russian market and abroad. In parallel, the company is expanding cooperation with car manufacturers: products of the Kaluga tire factory and work with the biggest Russian and foreign companies. The interest in products produced in Kaluga, due to the high quality, confirmed by international certificates. All products that come off the Assembly line, meet the quality standards ISO/TS 16949.

The quality of tires that come off the Assembly line in Kaluga, confirmed by independent experts and consumers. Kaluga plant Continental proved the compliance of products with all the formal requirements of the German quality standard VDA 6.3 and the results of audits received the highest rating of "A" from company Volkswagen. This confirms that all stages of production and used in the factory systems compliant with international requirements.

Such high results due to the professionalism of the company. Today in the Kaluga plant Continental employs more than a thousand professionals. Some of the experts of the enterprise have achieved outstanding professional success and now share their experience with their colleagues, recently started to work on new projects in Thailand and North America.

In addition to product quality, our company pays great attention to the environment. Approximately 95% of production waste is recyclable and recycled. In 2016, the Russian subsidiary of Continental began active work on the development of a system for the collection and disposal of waste tires in the country, and in 2017, was a co-founder of Ecasinos. The measures taken by the company to protect the environment, received high ratings, Kaluga plant successfully passed the audit for re-certification based on new standards for environmental management ISO 14001:2015.

Our product line is constantly expanding, adapting to the demands of the market. This approach allows the company to maintain its position in a complex changing environment. The portfolio consists of 300 kinds of tires with diameters from 13 to 21 inches for passenger cars and LCV. In March 2018 has begun the commercial manufacture tyres with a diameter of 21 inches. At the moment the plant produces tyres of three brands: Continental, Gislaved and Matador.
